See His Children Again - Contact Restoration Fund
Ask a father in this position what he actually lost, and the answer is never the house. It is Saturday morning. It is the school gate. It is the voice at bedtime. Asset stripping can be survived; being deleted from your children's weekdays cannot, and the system that deletes him moves slowly and charges by the hour. James, 43, a nurse from Leeds, went seven months without seeing his daughters while interim arrangements were 'being considered' - seven birthdays, in effect - because his application needed a fee, a correctly drafted statement and supervised sessions he could not pre-pay. This fund restores contact, concretely: the court application fee, six supervised contact sessions at a community centre (where the assessor's report consistently rebuilds trust), and the handover-point travel costs that quietly bankrupt separated fathers on minimum wage. Each £12 entry funds a sixth of one supervised session - an hour a father spends actually with his child. Tonight's target: three complete contact restorations end to end. At the session we read the letters fathers write to their children for the file they will one day hand over (with consent, anonymised), explain the contact process step by step, and light the session board - one hour of contact per six entries. The marriage ended. The father did not. Fund the hour.
